Monthly Mingle

For this Monthly Mingle I would like us to spread the buffet with colorful dishes from incredible South Africa. Whether it's a braai, bobotie or a briyani - anything goes. Do not be intimidated by South African cuisine - it's so full of wonderful variety that with a little bit of research you will be surprised at just how versatile it is.

Monthly Mingle is thematic event started and organized by Meeta K of "What's for lunch, Honey?". The theme for the current period is "Soups", and the event is being hosted at TONGUE TICKLERS...... by Sunshinemom.

Food bloggers are invited to send in entries that fit the theme alongwith a picture of their creation. A week after the deadline a round up will be posted by the host.

Brunch is one of those favorite pastimes on a late Sunday morning. It's somewhere between breakfast and lunch and while the usual breakfast fare like, eggs, ham, pancakes, sausages are served during this meal one will also find more hearty quiche, tarts, salads and meat dishes too. I love it because I get the best of both worlds!

I wanted to celebrate with cake and thought I'd invite you all to a Spring party of cakes. Rhubarb, raspberries, strawberries, apricots, and cherries - there is a plethora of fruit to choose from and with your great imaginations I am sure you will come up with explosive creations.

The theme is going to be Kids Lunches! Yes, now is the time for you wonderful bloggers out there, to present to the world what exciting dishes that you would make for your kids!

So wear on your thinking caps and send in any dish that you would make for your kids meal, it can be suitable from any course, from any cuisine, any number! This event is going to be for all kids age group.

I am taking you away to a lovely destination. Pack your bikinis and bathing suits because we are heading on over to the wonderful Caribbean Islands. Beaches, sun, sand, sea and palm trees are all synonymous with this wonderful destination and we'll definitely have it all. The only thing missing is food and drink!
