Hello:

I am the first host of a new foodie book club event: Cook the Books in which participants read a book and then cook up something delicious inspired by our reading. Our first pick is the novel "La Cucina" by Lily Prior, full of spicy scenes of Sicilian cooking and other sensual delights. The deadline to read, cook and blog about this novel is December 15, 2008 with a roundup to follow.

I am planning Cook the Books with Johanna of Food Junkie and Deb of Kahakai Kitchen, who will be hosting future rounds of this bimonthly foodie event.
