AFAM-October (A Fruit a Month) - Peach/Nectarine

So guys and gals, readers and bloggers, chefs and home-cooks, get ready to be a part of this month's festival celebrating "Peaches or Nectarines"!! This was what I had in mind initially, but I wanted to request a poll just to make sure others voted for this fruit too...I think this is the right season for Peaches, so get out your cookbooks or start surfing the web to uncover the vast heritage of Peach dishes!! You can use Nectarines too, or even canned peaches, peach syrup/juice from the market - just about anything that gives the flavor of peach to your dish. Be it a drink, entree, sweet or savoury, dessert, or anything your imagination and hands can conjure, I invite all of you to participate and make my first event as a hostess a memorable one!!

Rules:
Your recipe should contain Peach or Nectarine in any form (try using fresh fruit if possible, and I'd urge to refrain from using fruit essence if possible, as that would not be complete justice to the fruit.)

Post the recipe on your blog in the month of October; include a brief intro about the fruit choice and the concept of your dish and please include a link to this post to complete the circle and get more readers to know about this event. Feel free to use the logo above in your post.

Email me your name,blog name, the picture and permalink of your recipe to mansibshah @ gmail. com with AFAM -Peach as the subject, before 1st November. Please include a pic of 250x250 pixels if possible.

The roundup will be announced between 5th-7th November. So make sure you send in your entries before Nov 1st.
