Oh… go on then! Announcing the IMBB launch cook-off

The IMBB website is officially launching in just two days and Sarah of the Delicious Life suggested we should have a launch party...

So let's have one....

Have a look here for all the latest

A recipe - whatever you fancy as long as beer is involved in some way (even just as the drink alongside the dish). Send me a link (through the contact form here and the traditional roundup will soon follow.

Less than 48 hours is probably less than anyone can ask even the most industrious of food bloggers so let's say that the party is on the 2nd of September.

Ronald - I hope you don't

Ronald - I hope you don't mind - I sort of rolled another event into the Paper Chef as well after a conversation with a friend of mine who lives in New Orleans - see www.tomatilla.com for details but it is basically to use the event as a way to help raise a little money for hurricane relief

However you want to do it -

However you want to do it - officially the 'topical' ingredient is now beer for Paper Chef. I think it should be Paper Chef in support of IMBBLCo though since I don't want to detract from your launch...

Owen - joining up Paper Chef

Owen - joining up Paper Chef and IMBB launch sounds excellent to me. Just one condition - you will still let us know about the batch "aging" in your subfloor :-)

So Paper Chef #9 in support of IMBB Launch Cook-off? OR the PC#9iSoIMBBLCo event :-)

Fantastic! Want me to make

Fantastic! Want me to make beer the 'topical' ingredient for the Paper Chef? I'll link across and make it a bigger party? Or not if you don't want...

Regardless I'll join in - can I MAKE beer? (or at least write about the batch that has been 'aging' in my subfloor for the past four months?

For glutengirl - you can get/make rice beer...have to admit that it isn't really beer though...

here is a place to find out more...

Is a ticket to Sicily included in the invite? ;-)
One of these days when I get rich I want to come out and do one of your cooking tours while the rest of the family does one of the arty ones - they look fabulous.

Party! Woo hoo!

I assume we're planning on the dishes being prepared and served on Friday (9/2) so that actual write-ups are due on Friday or Saturday?

Well I was going for wine --

Well I was going for wine -- but then I thought "I miss beer (given the general abundance of the former and general scarsity of the later in Sicily) so there you go...

And then beer is a party thing isnt't it :-)

Oh great! Make a gluten-free

Oh great! Make a gluten-free girl feel bad by including beer in the mix, when I can never drink it again. Sigh. I'm sure I could convince a friend to bring over beer and drink it next to me for the photo....

Congratulations, early, for the new launch. This is exciting!

Why beer? Pray tell... Just
