Paper Chef #9 and IMBB joining forces

Paper Chef #9 starts on the 2nd of Sep and that is also the day for the IMBB launch cook-off. Owen of Tomatilla! suggested that we combine the two events which I thought was a great idea.

Owen is also asking people to use this opportunity to think of what New Orleans is going through and use Paper Chef as an excuse for giving something back. Read more about his thoughts here.

So, for Paper Chef#9 and the IMBB party the final date by which to post recipes is the 5th of September (or early 6th if your are in the US and its a holiday). Usual Paper Chef rules apply while a mention of the IMBB launch is much appreciated!

The Paper Chef ingredients are:

Ingredient 1: Beer - for Is My Blog Burning and for New Orleans - Cheers! (if you are allergic or don't drink alcohol, substitute any other celebratory liquid you like)

Ingredient 2: Sausage - nothing more Louisianan than that! (vegetarians - think of a sausage substitute!)

Ingredient 3: Shrimp - ok there IS something more Louisianan than sausage! (vegetarians - again - substitute...)

Ingredient 4: Tomatoes.

sam - not sure in which sense confusing but in any case we will try and make it crystal clear that "the" IMBB is later on in the month - the launch party was just a little bit of fun :-)

I challenge other food

I challenge other food bloggers to give aid those who worked in the food industry and made New Orleans so flavorful:

this is getting confusing.
Maybe there should be some distinction between this stite name and the IMBB event name?
Just a suggestion.

Here's my contribution to

LOL!

i will be yo ho ho ing - just a shot of beer (which i don't love) with a martini chaser, lol! :)

Let's be clear (since we

Let's be clear (since we changed the rules up on everyone mid stream). Think of this as an opportunity not a necessity. If you are already done with one thing or the other in one direction or the other then go with that. If you want to combine the events do. If you don't, don't.

For the Paper Chef it is the spirit that counts - think of the rules as "more like guidelines" and drink your beer with an added yo ho ho!

Fahara, The idea behind

Fahara,

The idea behind Paper Chef is to include all four ingredients in a single dish -- although two or three part dishes aren't unusual. See Tomatilla for details. If you don't want to enter Paper Chef then stick with your planned recipe.

I think both are allows and

I think both are allows and also the third option!

All four ingredients in one

All four ingredients in one recipe? Or four seperate recipes for the four ingredients? Or can I just stick with my planned (and cooked) beer recipe? :)
