Gustosi foodie links this year

My kids wanted to make cookies today which is always fun. They love to help and it they get to learn some new skills like measuring and following instructions. They measure the ingredients and add them to the bowl then put the blobs of dough on the cookie sheet. The kids love these ones and they are the favorite of my wife. I like the spice and tend to do 'heaping' on the spice measures. The Corn Flakes add a wonderful crunch. These go fast in my house so I always make a triple batch.

The Perfect Party Cake for the Daring Bakers challenge. Mine are mini versions with fresh raspberries. Simply gorgeous!

I chanced upon Not Quite Nigella through the IMBB events calendar. These two versions of banana breads are making their way to NQN's Banana Bread Bakeoff! All that's missing is a cuppa and some mates to share them with. Cheers!

My first ever entry into a foodie blog contest. I'm definitely more excited than my muffins!

The recipe's main star is the potato and a little bit like Cinderella's tale, the drab looking spud is turned into a glamorous dish fit for the red carpet with the magical addition of mango chutney. The great thing about this story is that there is no pumpkin at the strike of 12 - just a lot of satisfied smiles all around. And Prince Charming will be eating out of your hands!

Cauliflowers are very much in at the moment. Plus, like snow flakes, crystals, mountain ranges, lightning, river networks, pulmonary vessels and broccoli, they are a fine example of fractal geometry in nature. So when you’re cooking this remember to keep in mind D = Log N(L) divided by the log of 1 over L. Enjoy.
